Lillian "Nanny" "Lil" Sharkey, 90 of Brooksville passed away January 17, 2012. She was born in Inez, Kentucky and came to the Brooksville area in 1995 from St. Petersburg, Florida.
She loved the Lord and had a passion for growing orchids, enjoyed the water and boating, loved to cook her desserts, but most of all she loved her family, and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play.
Lil is survived by 2 daughters; Sondra Dill and Linda Rohde, brother; Walt Maynard, sister; Edith Egelston, grand-daughter; Tracy Bartlett, 2 grand-sons; Michael Rohde and Rocky Rohde, 4 great-grandaughters; Kaitlyn Rohde, Cassie Rohde, Abbey Rohde and Molly Rohde, 2 great-grandsons; Justin Bartlett and Austin Bartlett. Gathering In Memory will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 from noon-1 at the Brooksville Chapel of Brewer & Sons Funeral Homes. Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 with Celebrant Pastor Slayden McGregor.
She will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations to be made to HPH Hospice.
